Biography
I earned my B.A. in Psychology and Sociology, with a minor in African American Studies, from the University of Iowa in 2025. I am now pursuing my Ph.D. in Sociology at Iowa, where my research explores social stratification, race and ethnicity, and place-based racism, with a particular interest in how financialization, debt, and urban development shape inequality. In my undergraduate honors thesis in Sociology, I studied the relationship between water liens, demolitions, and zoning changes to better understand how cities pursue redevelopment and how these processes impact marginalized communities.
